LOCATION

Sveti Filip i Jakov is the central town of the eponymous Municipality. The town is surrounded by beaches, olive groves and vineyards, walking and biking trails. It has its own tourist infirmary, pharmacy and post office. There are beautiful small coves on nearby islands in the clear sea of the Pašman Channel.

The buildings of ‘Belvedere Invest’ are only 500 meters away from the sea (beach), and 900 meters from the town centre and the waterfront, the promenade along the coast, which you can reach in less than 10 minutes of slow walk.

– Accessibility of the town: first exit to the motorway is less than 20 km away, by plane: Zadar-25 km and Split-120 km); by bus: numerous bus lines from Biograd and Zadar; – there is a comprehensive health care: emergency medical service, hospital in Zadar with specialist services for children and adults.
– Excursion options – by sea: National Park Kornati and Nature Park Telašćica; and by land: Nature Park Velebit and Paklenica and numerous historical sites.

Sveti Filip i Jakov is a small town on the coast of the Adriatic Sea, the surrounding area is very gentle, there are good road connections with the nearby bigger towns and cities (the first exit to the motorway is less than 20 km away), airplane connections (airports: Zadar-25 km and Split-120 km), bus lines (Biograd n/m-4km) and maritime lines.
There is also a possibility of comprehensive health care: emergency medical service, dental service, pharmacies, general medical care. The Orthopedic Hospital of Biograd with cardiology and physiotherapy department is well known and located at a distance of 3 km, and there is the Zadar General Hospital at a distance of 22 kilometres, with all specialist services for children and adults.
Sveti Filip i Jakov is located on the shores of Pašman Channel, with many islands and strong sea currents that maintain the sea cleanliness in all seasons. It is only a few miles away from the National Park Kornati and the Nature Park Telašćica. By boat, this distance can be reached within an hour or two. There are boats for day trips to the Kornati archipelago, which counts more than a hundred of beautiful islands with rocks, cliffs rising from sea depths up to 80 meters high. Dolphin families swim in the sea.

Belvedere Invest

On land, the town is surrounded by olive groves and vineyards, walking and biking trails. This is best seen in the belt around the newly built buildings where you can walk or ride a bike through the olive groves or fields of aromatic immortelle.
Driving along the Adriatic Highway to the northwest, there is the old town of Nin 25 km from Zadar, and a little bit further, after approximately 40 kilometres, there are Nature Parks Velebit and Paklenica, a well-known excursion sites and an exercise ground for alpinists. Heading southeast, there is the Nature Park Vrana (3 km) with the Vrana Lake, which is visited by bird lovers and fishermen all year long. In the same direction, 50 km further there is the National Park Krka and the town of Šibenik, with the cathedral and fortresses of significant historical value. And approximately 120 km from Sv. Filip i Jakov there is the town of Trogir, an old Renaissance town full of historical and cultural-artistic events. Another twenty kilometres away, in the heart of Dalmatia, is the City of Split (Salona) – a town from the time of Ancient Rome, with its famous Diocletian’s palace and other landmarks.
The gastronomic offer of food and drink is large, there is a series of restaurants, and some of them work all year round.

The town is hundreds of years old, it has changed its name – from Pristan and Rogovo from several centuries ago – to today’s name that has been such for the past hundred years.
The town’s “protector” is Saint Roch (Sv. Roko), a saint famous for healing capacity, and the eponymous church – which is more than half a millennium old – is located nearby, just two kilometres from the town centre.
Sveti Filip i Jakov is an independent Municipality, it is being developed every day and cares about its inhabitants and visitors. It has its own tourist infirmary and pharmacy. There are various events during the tourist season, such as musical concerts, exhibitions, concerts of groups of autochthonous a cappella singers (in Croatian = klape), Oldtimer’s Reunion and sailing regattas. There is also a well-known manifestation called “Flower Fair”, gathering a large number of flower exhibitors and manufacturers, which is held once a year.
In the centre of the town itself there is a botanical garden belonging to the famous Borelli family, with many different plants, mainly trees, from all over the world.
Sv. Filip i Jakov has a CINEMA (since 1959), and recently it shows movies every second day thanks to enthusiasts, locals and film lovers. The beaches are exceptionally large and well-tended. We have a diving, windsurfing and sailing club with a summer school for children from 8 to 14 years.
